Beautiful weather, success on the field, and lots of fun at the hotel all added up to a fantastic weekend in St. Cloud!
The girls won three shutout games and earned all 30 possible points to claim the U14 Girls championship at the Star of the North Games.
The girls finished the round-robin portion of the tournament undefeated, beating White Bear Lake 4-0, Fridley Heights 3-0, and Grand Forks 1-0.
They faced Grand Forks again in the championship game and came up a little short at 1-3.
Run, Tyler, RUN!
The girls played in three very close games over another cold, windy weekend. They tied Mahtomedi 0-0, lost to White Bear Lake 1-2, and beat Rice Lake 2-1.
A cold, windy day in Hudson provided a great opportunity for the girls to get some pre-season experience on the field as players and referees.
After a hard practice, the U14 Girls lent their time and what was left of their energy to clean up Applewood Park in Maplewood.
Who knew picking up trash could be so much fun!
Eight members of the U14 Girls team got together over the winter to play in a futsal league at the St. Croix Dome. The 5v5 format made for very exciting games with lots of touches, lots of scoring, and lots of fun! The girls finished with a record of 3-2-1.
Special thanks goes to Dave Morck for all his help!
